We aim to preserve modesty, privacy, and Islamic values in every part of the matchmaking process. By registering or using WALISCONNECT, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. What is WALISCONNECT
WALISCONNECT is an Islamic matchmaking platform where only Walis can create and manage profiles for individuals seeking marriage. All communication and matching happen directly between Walis — not the individuals themselves.
2. Who Can Use WALISCONNECT
You must:
- Be a legal adult (18+) and verify your age during registration; providing false information may result in account termination.
- Be a legitimate Wali (e.g., father, brother, uncle, Islamic guardian) responsible for someone seeking marriage.
- Have the authority and consent to represent the person.
- Be sincere in helping them find a halal, Islamic marriage.
Our platform also allows you to invite a trusted family member or community member to serve as a Wali, ensuring that your journey to marriage is guided with integrity and care. No user may register a personal profile for themselves. This is a Wali-only platform.
3. Wali Responsibilities
As a registered Wali on WALISCONNECT, you agree that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile(s) you create.
- You have the explicit consent of the person you are representing.
- You will manage all communications and decisions on their behalf.
- You will not misuse the platform or misrepresent any details.
- You will uphold Islamic values in all interactions.
- WALISCONNECT is not responsible for any false claims or misrepresentation by Walis or their represented individuals.
4. Creating Profiles
- A Wali may create one or more profiles for those under their care.
- Each profile must be genuine, truthful, and intended for sincere marriage purposes.
- Profiles may be removed if found to be fraudulent, disrespectful, or non-compliant.
5. Communication Rules
- Only Walis may communicate with each other.
- The individuals seeking marriage do not have access to the app.
- All discussion, vetting, and potential introductions happen directly between Walis.
- Any attempt to bypass this process will result in account suspension.
6. Islamic Values & Code of Conduct
You must:
- Use the platform only for halal, Islamic marriage purposes.
- Uphold adab (Islamic manners) in all communication.
- Not engage in any form of matchmaking that goes against Islamic rulings.
- Not use the platform for dating, entertainment, or anything inappropriate.
7. Privacy, Data Protection & Security
- Your data is stored securely and only used for the purpose of halal matchmaking.
- We do not sell your information to third parties.
- Users in the EU/UK have rights under GDPR, including access, correction, or deletion of personal data.
- You may request deletion of your account or profile data at any time.
- All communication is private between registered Walis only.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content, branding, and materials on WALISCONNECT, including text, logos, and design, are the property of WALISCONNECT.
- No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without explicit written permission.
9. Third-Party Links & Services
- WALISCONNECT may include links or references to third-party websites or services.
- We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or services provided by these third parties.
- Users access third-party content at their own risk.
10. Payments & Subscriptions (Optional)
- If WALISCONNECT offers paid features, subscription rules, refunds, and cancellation policies will be outlined in-app.
- All payments are final unless otherwise stated.
11. Our Role
WALISCONNECT is:
- A facilitator only, not a matchmaking service or mediator.
- Not responsible for the success or failure of any potential match.
- Not liable for actions taken by Walis or their represented individuals.
- Not involved in marital decisions — that is the Wali’s responsibility.
12. Termination of Use
We may suspend or terminate any account that:
- Violates Islamic guidelines.
- Misuses the platform.
- Submits false or harmful information.
- Disrespects the community guidelines or other Walis.
13. Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure
- WALISCONNECT is provided “as is.”
- We are not responsible for outcomes, disputes, or emotional harm.
- All communication, decisions, and due diligence rest solely with the Wali.
- WALISCONNECT is not liable for events beyond our control, including cyberattacks, technical failures, or natural disasters (Force Majeure).
14. Dispute Resolution & Legal Jurisdiction
- We encourage Walis to resolve disputes respectfully and privately.
- Unresolved disputes may be escalated to mediation or arbitration before court proceedings.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom (or your country of operation). Legal matters will be handled in UK courts unless otherwise stated.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be shared by email or via in-app notification. Continued use means you accept the updates.
